Disappointed!
My husband and I went for brunch/lunch. We arrived at 11.30am. It wasn't to full capacity but was quite busy. We ordered our coffee's and food. I ordered pumpkin risotto and my husband ordered a BLT with egg. The coffee's arrived first and they were quite lovely. The water on the table was warm tap water in a bottle straight out of the dishwasher (still hot) which was not leasant on a warm day. Then the food arrived. My husbands BLT vienna bread was burnt, the salad was basic and limp, the bacon was burnt and fatty and the egg also was burnt. My risotto looked pleasant but when I tasted it, it was tasteless, luke warm, and the consistency of melted margarine. It was terrible. Neither of us could eat our meals. When we complained, we were treated like second class citizens....How dare we complain!!! And to top it off, the waitress said, "we have a lot of complaints about the risotto". I wondered to myself why it is they keep the risotto on the menu. Anyway, we won't be back and we won't be recommending Cafe Villa to anyone. The only thing Cafe Villa has going for itself is it's location. Without that it would have gone under long ago.

Busy breakfast time
Two of us popped in here for breakfast on Saturday morning and ordered coffee, toast, baked beans, poached eggs, bacon and tomato. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. The staff are very friendly and helpful but I could see they were absolutely run off their feet. We waited some more. Breakfast came - it was delicious and worth the wait. Perfectly cooked. Chased up the coffees - they eventually came. Not worth the wait. Waitstaff started turning people away as they were too busy even though free tables could be seen outside and from the door. I think the wait was too long and the coffee too average for me to consider going back anytime soon.

Annoyed at service and etiquette
One thing I hate is being told that we need to leave because they need a table. Food is very nice. Service is a little slow, we ordered soft drinks during our meal, they didn't arrive. We asked again, they still didn't arrive. After we had finished our main meal, I asked again, finally they brought out the drinks, no apology, only someone saying "it gets like this when its busy".

Prices were suprisingly much more expensive than I expected. Dinner for 4 people was just under $200.

Would not go back
We arrrived on time at 8.30am for Mothers Day breakfast for 6 people, our orders were taken quickly, we finally received our order at 9.35, all orders appeared to be very slow in coming out. Halfway through eating our meal we had to get someone's attention to order coffee. Just as we finished our coffees we were asked to leave within the next 5 minutes because they wanted to set the table for the next group. Two of us actually wanted to order another coffee. Being Mothers Day they had bunches of flowers for Mums, they had a lot in a basket. We had 3 Mums at our table but they would only give 2 a bunch of flowers - because they wanted enough to go around!!! On paying the account they apparently didn't have enough buttons on the register therefore you could not follow the account to make sure it was yours. Oh and if you love Eggs Benedict don't order it here!
