Bringing European style and elegance to a casual cafe meal, the lower north shore's latest offering at Milsons Point has a focus on design (two of its four partners are designers), a European vibe and a Mediterranean menu. The interior is part Sydney cafe, part Paris bistro, and part Florentine coffee house, which somehow combine to create one unique spot.
It's not all about looks, though, with organic, fair trade coffee and actual tea served with the respect it deserves for serious tea drinkers, who, after years of neglect and tea bags dumped into pots in cafes all over Sydney, are bound to respond with tears of gratitude.
The house specialty of Mediterranean eggs are served in a pan and with sourdough toast; they are available all day if the ready-to-eat baguettes and paninis and the succinct but solid lunch menu (which includes classics like steak frites and spaghettini) aren't what you crave.
Fast becoming a popular spot with many of the locals, there's a reason young mums in particular are flocking here - the nearby children's playground, Bradfield Park overlooking the harbour, and free babycinos with coffee orders have them converted.
