Named after the seminal 1988 flick Cinema Paradiso this cafe, thankfully, has nothing to do with an Italian man reminiscing about his boyhood friendship with an old, recently-deceased film projectionist. What it does have in common with its namesake is the ability to stand the test of time and to bring people together.
The list of good points Cafe Paradiso boasts makes it much easier to see why it's so popular: alfresco dining, organic Fair Trade coffee, and a bevy of homemade pastas with brilliant family-recipe sauces. Check out the gluten-free risottos on offer here as well - rich and creamy, they're definitely worth the pittance being charged.
