Cafe Omer is one of those establishments that welcomes you with open arms the second you step up onto its covered outdoor patio. The staff are ready with a breezy greeting when you step through the door and take a seat at one of the slick, steel-toned tables, while owner and neighbourhood friendly man Omer addresses his regulars with the genuine interest of a long-time friend.
Pleasantries aside, Cafe Omer draws customers with some of the best coffee in Paddington. Whether it's a piccolo, macchiato or a good old-fashioned flat white, they're served with European expertise. Add a not-too-overwhelming cafe-style menu (different enough to be interesting, but simple enough not to confuse) and you're looking at a neighbourhood favourite - a big call when a large percentage of the clientele are fussier-than-thou fashionistas.
