This is a good egg of a cafe. This red-tipped rectangle at the Central station end of Devonshire street caters for all types. Byron Bay's BunCoffee Organic Espresso and quick-to-go toasted paninis keep the locals coming back, while rustic house-made soups, from pea and ham to pumpkin, warm the hardest of hearts.
Design magazines and artfully well-worn cubed seats hint at the regular clientele, but anyone passing through Surry Hills will find comfort food in servings to soothe, such as baked potatoes, their namesake omelette, and risottos. On the flip side, if you're the kind of person who likes to scramble things up, you can supersize your omelette, get breakfast at 4pm, indulge in a range of gluten-free sweets, or have your latte made with rice milk.
