Don't listen to any negatives - you will NOT be disappointed here
On Sat 29th Jan, I had my 30th birthday dinner in the private dining room at Caf? Italia.
I would just like to express my gratitude to the staff, in particular Richard, who made us feel special from the moment we walked in, and remained polite and attentive throughout the entire night. I can t imagine how stressful it must have been, catering to so many people, but Richard was a true professional throughout the night.
Everything was perfect, and the food was to die for. I ve had so much bad luck on most of my previous birthdays (bad service, poor food) but my 30th birthday was perfect.
No artsy descriptions here - the service was the best, the food AMAZING (I had whitebait and the pastas looked perfect).
I ve already told all my friends and family about our great experience at Caf? Italia, We ll be back again soon!

Big Treasure just off the strip!
Wow! we had heard about cafe italia from friends and decided to try it out, along with half of melbourne because the place was full. We were greeted and seated by a gentleman with a welcoming smile and although we didn't have a booking we got a very nice table near the open fire. We started with the parmesan and pine nut bread special and a large calamari to share. The calamari was wonderful marinated in chilli and garlic. for mains I had the risotto of the week which was veal & eggplant topped with a fig wine, so unusual I had to try it and glad I was to give it a go, even if there was too much to finish. We then shared a hazelnut pudding with white chocolate sauce. The wine list was extensive and VERY resonably priced and coffees were outstanding. We were served by a lovley young lady who was there when we needed her, even if there were other large tables around us. We will be back for more in the near future with our friends.
