Occupying a small shopfront on Windsor's High Street, this place sure packs a punch into its tiny space. The interior boasts artworks, chandeliers and furniture all in loud, unashamedly clashing bright colours, and the warm, larger-than-life personality of owner Eugene Shafir to match. The cafe is known not only for its coffee, but for its incredible piadinas - flat rounds of peasant bread which are made in-house every day. The menu is decided on in a uniquely democratic way, with customers voting for their favourites, and the next morning's piadinas made according to the tally. The Spicy Meatball - a grilled, homemade ground beef patty, Eugenius' special tomato relish, tasty cheese, capers, pickled cucumber, caramelised onion, vegies, fresh herbs and spices and a spicy chilli sauce on a toasted piadina - is more often than not top of the list, and for good reason, too.
