A much-adored cafe institution in Bendigo, Cafe Au Lait (French translation: "coffee with milk"), certainly does its fair share of frothy espressos, although the food menu is perhaps equally enamouring for the regulars. From hot eggs brekkies to lunchtime focaccias, pastas, risottos, salads and fish and chips, to afternoon cakes, this cafe provides ample nourishment throughout the busy day.
