Since the Salvation Army marched on from their original headquarters, the space has been used to provide working Perthites with caffeine fixes and light lunches. Today, this heritage-listed building retains much of its yesteryear charm, with ornate cornices framing the high ceilings, original polished jarrah floors and a charming brick fireplace in the back room. Complementing the old-world feel, wooden booths provide private spaces for intimate chats, while the leafy setting of Pier Street creates a suitably quaint backdrop for the cafe's pavement alfresco area. The menu features a delicious array of fresh Lebanese wraps, crusty Italian or Turkish bread, and focaccias or bagels. One of these freshly made sandwiches is best enjoyed with a cup of 5 Senses coffee or one of the six varieties of leaf teas.
