Often fine dining at a reasonable cost proves a somewhat oxymoronic proposition. That is, of course, if you are yet to dine at Cactus Blue. A contemporary abode with suitable ambience, it fits in well among those of Sydney's North Shore and Eastern Suburbs. Despite what this may allude to, Cactus Blue maintains warm charm, in no small part to owner Leon and his welcoming staff.
The menu offers the best of modern Australian and Mediterranean flavours, particularly with regard to the seafood. The salt-crusted eye fillet with truffle and mushroom sauce, served with garlic and fennel mash is also of worthy note.
