Consistently the best for me and my friends
I travel to Darwin six times a year and always drop in on Buzz Cafe for dinner with friends .The location , food and service are always great . The staff are friendly and always remember my name and were I like to sit. The Barramundi is exceptional as are all the dishes I have there . The experience at Buzz just gets better and better . I recommend Buzz to everyone I meet in my travels .I thank my friends in Darwin for taking me there six years ago .As long as I keep going up to Darwin Buzz is the place for me .

Great Location, Great Food
If you visit Darwin then Buzz Cafe at Cullen Bay is a must. It's situated over the water at Cullen Bay Marina and the views are spectacular, every table has waterfront views so no-one misses out. Their Barramundi is the best I have ever tasted done to perfection!

Valentines day 2010 - not so sweet
My husband and I decided to give Buzz another try (mainly because La Beach was closed.) We booked and were given a table out side as requested so we were off to a good start. The service was good, wait staff were attentive, drinks were bought out promptly, and food orders taken. We shared an olive bread and dukkah plate to start with and some kalamatta olives - all good. Once it got dark there was not enough lighting outside and so could barely see, no candles on the table or anything either. We were really disappointed with the mains - We both ordered off the specials menu - the Angus scotch fillet which was served with a red wines jus, mashed potato and green beans and topped with prawns. We received only 1 whole prawn on each serve, and while the steak was cooked to order it was barely warm and incredibly fatty. Very poor main for $39. Will not be going back.

Fresh food, good service and fantastic view.
This was my first time to Darwin and my first visit to Buzz. I had been in Darwin for over two week and had some pretty average meals until a local reccommended going to Buzz at Cullen Bay. My partner and I visited on a Saturday night with no booking and while it was quite buy when we arrived the staff were able to find us a beautiful table on the deck over looking the water. The food was fresh and the service was prompt but what caught my eye was the view over the marina while we ate. If I ever return to Darwin this is one place I will definitely eat at again.

Great value dining at its best
Surprise surprise:I have dined at Buzz a lot over the years and while the food and atmosphere have always been very good, the service has been up and down. But whatever they are doing now it is working. 12 of us dined there this week and 7 of us the previous week. On both occasions the experience was fantastic.
The menu is new (about time)and we had the banquet style meal this time (it must also be a new feature as I have not seen it there before) the food just kept coming and it was sensational! We had a bit of everything on the menu and as much as we could eat. The curries were outstanding and the home baked pie was as good as it gets. We nearly skipped the dessert but as it was included in the fare we greedily indulged...don't leave there without trying the sticky date pudding!! One other thing they have always got right is the Mango Daquiri it is still a winner. Here is a tip, if you haven't been there before, ask for the outside deck over the water, it is really beautiful and make sure you go to the loo (you will understand when you see it)!!

Go for the view
I visit Buzz often because nothing beats the location. The food is poor for the price tag and the quality varies greatly depending on which chef is on. The service will not win awards but the cocktail menu is excellent.

Fantastic night
Fantastic location, friendly helpful staff and a meal to die for made this a wonderful night out. The pan-fried barramundi was cooked to perfection and my dessert of licorice parfait was amazing. I actually asked for the recipe. The mens toilet was an added bonus and has to be seen to be believed; more women are given a guided tour than men are brave enough to use it. All in all a great night and we will be back.

GREAT ATMOSPHERE SHAME ABOUT THE FOOD
Buzz has a great view, atmosphere, and situation. Unfortunately all of this lost my mediocre staff and food. The staff were unable to get both orders right and did not seem to be communicating between themselves as to what was happening. We got several visits asking did you order coffee. We finally accepted the last version of the delivered, still not right, but we had decided to cut our losses. The standard of food was very low, your do not expect to be served an ex-frozen croissant that has been microwaved to death at the corner cafe let alone a Restaurant, with frozen butter that had been thawed several times. Overall a very bad experience.
