Stylishly sequestered in the basement of Fairfax House, Brisq sits where Cafe 396 Bar Lounge used to be, making the space its own with a cosmopolitan art-deco-meets-modern-day facade. Proving its versatility, Brisq is a hip spot for a pick-me-up breakfast, a power lunch, a quick coffee, an evening cocktail, or perhaps a longer dinner date. Taking a mod-Oz-meets-Mediterranean tact, the menu dabbles in delicacies like beef carpaccio, prosciutto and fig salad, and parmesan-crumbed chicken with coleslaw. And for those who love their vino, Brisq's wine list covers Australian, Italian, French and Spanish selections of liquid bliss.
