Bridgefield Heritage Teahouse is a place where the hustle and bustle of modern life slips away and life slows to gently meandering pace. As the name suggests, the tearooms are located in a heritage building, complete with high timber ceilings and wicker furniture, and wrapped in colonial-style verandahs. The tone is more of an old-world garden party than a bustling cafe, with even the ducks getting in on the act - a little colony of the birds show up on the lawn daily to be fed by hand. The kitchen churns out a similarly whimsical array of traditional comfort food, from bangers 'n' mash, to pastries and Devonshire teas.
