Breeze on Northbourne

So you're visiting Canberra in winter, wandering the frozen streets, on the look out for a place to warm your feet and, of course, fill your stomach. Well, the answer my friend is blowing in the, um, Breeze. Located on the ground level of the Clifton Suites on Northbourne, it's clear that this hotel restaurant is a great venue for functions. But if you wipe away the frost and peer through the windows, you'll find it also offers a surprisingly relaxed evening of a la carte dining, right in the heart of our busy little capital city. The restaurant is mostly occupied by the hotel guests, but all are welcome here, with the young and friendly staff eager to ensure diners enjoy the modern Australian cuisine.

On The Breeze
After hearing the Breeze Sports Bar and Restaurant s good background I felt that I had to investigate for myself. As I sat patiently after being waited on hand and foot by the superb wait staff I felt very relaxed and ready for my meal. As I waited I could hear the soft chatter from the kitchen, and smell the exotic smells and fragrances as the plates drifted past me, as the other patrons were served. As a delicate plate was placed in front of me my taste buds begun to run although lacking in flare the well thought through textures and food colours were exciting and like a party in my mouth. While time flew by as I ate I couldn t help but resist licking the plate clean but mother s voice rang in my head and held me back. Finishing my meal I couldn t wait for my desert to be brought out the waiter offered me an affogato with his special twist I accepted being a coffee lover, Desert turned out to be a delight and well presented with a good mix of flavour. The coffee was superb with a rich but smooth taste and the waiter s special twist was a good mix. Over all the service and atmosphere was good but need s a little work in all areas. But for that unforgettable, taste bud tantalizing, quiet, relaxed night Breeze Sports Bar and Restaurant is the place to be visiting.
Investigate for yourself.
