The Alexandria branch of this bakery chain doesn't impart quite the same cosy charm of its Surry Hills predecessor, but a little more elbow room certainly doesn't hurt this buzzing eatery, which also features dine-in tables (although you may still have trouble nabbing a seat during the busier periods - which frankly is most of the time). Courtesy of the suburb's industrial roots, the store enjoys a strong patronage from local businesses and factory workers, who flock in daily for their famous artisanal baked goods. Some of the standouts include the creme brulee and pistachio tart, the flaky lamb and harissa sausage roll, and the mouth-watering mushroom and goat's cheese quiche, but the list certainly doesn't stop there.
