Dont trust your mates
I had wanted to go to Boffins for some time and recently had been given bad reports. I gathered with some friends with some aprehension but I was so pleased I hadn't taken their advice.
Right from the start the sevice was attentive and helpful. Everyone enjoyed their selection of food.
We found the place a bit noisy but not unpleasent. This is a great place to take people from out-of-Canberra - particularly on a fine summers night when you can have a drink in the gardens before-hand.
Unfortunately it was wet, but we were well looked after in the comforatable lounge at the restaurant. before all out guests arrived

This place is gold -- a hidden treasure
Of and on over the years i have had lunch or dinner at Boffins and it is always very good. The staff a polite and helpful and know the menu. The fixed lunch menu is good vlaue and changes regularly you can't get bored if you return.
I suggest anyone give it a go -- it seems a bit daggy to get to and really out of the way, but you'll be glad you made the effort.
