Got a hankering for yum cha? Deterred by the crowds and the noise? Situated in the glorious underbelly of the Cook + Phillip complex, Bodhi calmly serves up clean, refreshing Asian vegetarian fare (shhh, don't tell anyone, but it's actually vegan). Peaceful and stylish, the tables are set far enough apart that other diners don't enjoy your conversation, and the fresh air invites you to spend a long and lazy lunch. According to the staff, a lot of celeb-spotting happens here, too, so bring a gossip mag and a spy camera, just in case.

mmmmm vegan yum cha
you dont have to be a veggie to enjoy sitting out in the sunshine in a tranquil park setting under giant morten bay fig trees eating yum cha. to think i was in the middle of the city only 8 min from my work!
i cant believe for such a strict buddhist vegan restaurant (they cant use onions garlic chives shallots animal or animal by products) that they were able to produce such delicious food and such a large variety. brilliant!
They have $5 Yum Cha on mondays so are reasonably priced for eating organic food.
The staff spoke broken english but were kind (I have a disability) and they made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of.
I will recommend this place to everyone and will even book our office xmas party here.

Disappointing
Sometimes you wonder why does vegetarian food cost the same as its meat subsitutes. Anyway I found this place expensive, the vege skewers was expensive for 2 skewers and costs around $7.50.
My main, imitation duck, tasted good and my friend had the blackbean tofu which she loved. But still there are other vegetarian places cheaper and better tasting than here. I have not tried out there vege yum cha and would come back only to try this out.

Not so happy
We arrived at 5.30pm, the meals arrived at 8.30pm. The service was slower than slow, and the meals expensive for what was eventually recieved. The lack of any staff attention ensured that drinks often had to be ordered two or three times, which were added onto the bill - even though the original had never actually been consumed.

Excellent vegan yum cha
Fantastic variety of vegan yum cha. Great on a sunny day since most dining is outside surrounded by park.
