Great experiance - Will be back
My family shared a special event at the Boardwalk last night for my sons bday. The service and food combined with the atmosphere was sensational. It has been a while since I visited this Hotel, and i must say something has changed. The entire venue seems fresh and the staff were attentive, freindly and ther food delicious. We all had a fantastic time and will return again. Thank you Boardwalk for a great time.

Food & service
I came for dinner the other week and a drink, had the oysters which came out like rubber and the main meal was that bad I couldn't eat it so I sent it back. I think the chefs need to be replaced in order to get some good food there and the waitresses need to be changed to.

Very Disappointing
Visited last Saturday and again last night - rundown
Garlic/Chilli Prawns - garlic and chilli was burnt and then fresh chilli put on top of the Venamai Prawns which were not deveined and were like plastic plus the 2 slices of bread were charred black and I had to get the girl to bring me just 2 fresh pieces otherwise it would have been cold. The Oysters Mornay had a very cluggy sauce on them - why can't you put some cheese or parmesan to cover up the gluggy taste - they were not even toasted under the salamander - very bland. I am a regular diner and live very close to this restaurant and I was very disappointed and it was not even a busy night. If you continue to serve food like this the locals will not come back - me being one of them.

I live in the Hope Island area, have dined at The Boardwalk for years. Used to have terrible food but new owners have done a great job - wide range of meals - pizzas, burgers, bar snacks and beautifully presented & tasting meals. A great spot to dine with a a great atmosphere. Word around the Hope Island resort is that this place has turned itself around.

Rather disappointing
Sunday lunch was busy, the atmosphere was good, but had to wait an hour for the food. Calamari was OK, but don't bother with the lamb shanks. The meal arrived at the table cold, and was too chewy, not tender as it should be. This was the second time I've eaten there and the food was much the same as the first visit. The menu is rather ordinary, mod-Oz NOT, more like average pub-grub.
