We all know Collingwood is well known for having the most universally hated team of any football code in our nation's history. But if more great cafes like this one continue to fill the streets of the 'Wood, perhaps that stigma might change.
Bluebird Espresso is a great addition to a strip of Johnston Street that was crying out for something to brighten it up. Syndicate is the bean of choice here (and it's very good, just quietly), and the food options are your garden variety toast-and-toast-derivatives menu. What isn't garden variety (or maybe it is...) is the use of fresh-as-they-come herbs in just about everything. Indeed, the potted herbs that adorn each table can attest to just how fresh the produce here really is.
