As the gateway to the Blue Mountains Blaxland hosts more than its fair share of drive-through venues. Sure the extra traffic is good for the town's economy but it doesn't leave locals with much to call their own. That's why it's so refreshing to see a place like this making Blaxland its home.
Set just far enough off the Great Western to minimise pit stop customers, Blue Wail instead offer something of real substance. There's a homely vibe here that is almost palpable, coupled with an affordable menu of cafe classics. As an extra added bonus, the owners of this cafe have built it on the principles of ethically sourced, sustainable produce.

do yourself a favour and visit the blue wail
as local residents to the mid-blue mountains, parents of young kids and people who love a sense of community, we stumbled across the blue wail a few months back...and are so glad we did. They have a play pen for kids, milkshakes for kids that are $1.50?, delicious food and a great atmosphere. The Blue Wail guys bring substance and outstanding coffee to Blaxland...needless to say we are now regulars. Check them out. Jo and Joe
