This relaxed and casual, family-run eatery has a strong community focus. Its cooking club teaches members to cook in the restaurant's topnotch commercial kitchen, and it has a policy of donating 15 percent of the takings on the first day of each month to charities. The food's not a bad reason to drop in either, with a popular lamb biryani (rice and lamb cooked in the same pot and given some pep with green chilli paste and chilli powder) and bargain meal deals, particularly at lunchtime.
