Located on the main drag of Highett, Blue Dish serves up a regularly changing menu of cafe cuisine, supplemented by a range of take-home meals - perfect for when you fancy a night in, but feel too lazy to cook. Popular brekkie highlights include baked eggs provencale with roasted tomato and onion pesto on sourdough toast; and sauteed avocado, tomato, mushrooms, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on sourdough.

Sunday Brunch
Blue Dish continues to provide food with a French influence as established by the previous business located on this sunny corner. Locals can still wander in for their coffee and croissant, croque monsier/madame, savoury tarts and fresh baguettes as well as a delicious selection of mains. This is often a busy little place and the friendly staff generally cope well. If dining with young children, you may prefer to sit in the back room where there is a little more space. You may also need to be specific when you order if you'd like the children's croissants to be served as soon as possible. Coffee is good but we tend to ask for a bit hotter than usual. Overall one of our regular haunts that provides fair value for money and an enjoyable experience, more so when it's not packed out.
