"There are dolphins jumping around in the water as I speak", chuckles Lisa Stevens, the owner of Blue Anchorage, a restaurant situated right on the waterfront of Queensland's gorgeous Bribie Island. As well as being entertained by the occasional passing cetacean, diners are treated to painted sunsets over the famous Glasshouse Mountains every evening. Such an idyllic setting makes it a favourite destination for weddings and parties, but on the whole it is just visited by those who enjoy a casual fine dining experience. The seafood menu is what Blue Anchorage is most renowned for; the fresh seafood chowder, lobster and barramundi in particular. Those who aren't fans of what the ocean has to offer are catered for as well, with such dishes as macadamia nut chicken and a good, hearty steak featuring on the menu.

Fantastic, as always
I've been a few times to the Blue Anchorage, and it's just fantastic. Yet again our dining experience last night was one to rave about. The food was great, the service was fast, friendly, and non-intrusive, and the atmosphere was perfect. I can't wait for summer to spend the evening outside on the back deck area watching the sun go down!

Blue Anchorage
Food is always excellent, specials always very tasty a nice change from the menu. Service staff always very helpful, courteus, and friendly, very knowlegable of the menu and specials. Very clean atmosphere, could possibly do with a change of background music. Would like to see a change in menu during the different seasons -but good choice of menu selections to suit most peoples palate.
