This funky, chic and effortlessly cool bar and bistro is housed in a former motel, now the trendy Albany Hotel, which has received a makeover that transformed it from inner-city sleeper to late-night groover. Rattling the pans is accomplished Melbourne chef Anthony Siketa, whose time as Bloomfield Bar and Bistro executive chef was preceded by stints at London's Bibendum and the Yarra Valley's Chateau Yering. The menu is a thoroughly French/Italian affair, with sumptuous dishes such as spicy duck cassoulet or a fragrant black truffle risotto on offer.
