From the moment you gaze into this long wine bar and cafe you're struck by its designer decor and arty aura, established by funky birdcage light fittings and colourful light-based artworks across the exposed-brick walls. With bar stool seating at the front, cafe-style banquettes and tables downstairs and upstairs, and a tucked-away open-air beer garden, Bloodwood easily lets you shape the kind of dining or drinking experience you feel like having.
Speaking of food, Bloodwood's interesting Mediterranean menu is headed up by delicacies like duck sausage, a charcuterie plate and garlic prawns (but these are always liable to change per season). The head chefs boast credentials from Sydney fine diner Claude's, so you can expect something special.
