Since opening in May 2010, this new addition to Melbourne Street's cosmopolitan dining scene has proven itself a winner for its gourmet, fusion-inspired woodfired pizzas. The Syriano, featuring scotch fillet, pine nuts, cumin, chilli and pomegranate sauce, is the signature and firm favourite. Using fresh, house-made, gourmet ingredients and a homemade wood oven to cook them in, this place has established itself as a local winner for its friendly, intimate atmosphere as much as for its innovative combinations.

Delicious pizza
We've tried a few of their pizzas. The Syriano is our definite favourite, but the others are nice, too. Friendly, cheerful service and delicious Syriano pizza. The interior of the shop is pretty basic, but hey, it's a pizzeria, not a restaurant. There are plenty of tables to sit at. The pizza bases are put directly in the oven rather than in pizza pans. I would say the pizzas are about the size of a standard large. Enough for one hungry person. The prices are steep. I think the Syriano is about $23, which is a lot if you consider it is pizza for one. Nonetheless, I recommend the Syriano for anyone who enjoys pizza =)
