Sleek and polished, this upmarket restaurant might have been shifted in the night from Sydney's CBD by mischievous elfin gourmands - a gift on the doorstop of thrilled Sans Souci residents. The (not-so-elfin) gourmand responsible is chef Riccardo Roberti, formerly of Mamma Barone. In this, his latest venture, Roberti serves up rustic southern Italian dishes showcasing such homegrown Aussie produce as Shaw River buffalo cheeses and Tallabung pork. The provocative piles of food on the plates compete for attention with the views out to Sylvania Waters.
