Blackbird is an unassuming venue in many ways. Perched overlooking Claisebrook Cove and sporting a warm, intimate interior, it doesn't scream flashiness or ultra-modernity. Instead, it exudes a quiet self-assurance, the understated charm of a venue built around true substance rather than superficiality.
The menu takes a similar tack, opting for well-executed, simple flavours rather than baseless culinary showmanship. The kitchen songbook is straight-up European bistro, and it encompasses the depth and breadth of these culinary borders. Terrines, souffles, steak tartare and bavarois all add their individual notes to the harmony. Rounding out the short but sharp menu is a selection of sublime cheeses (d'Affinois, roquefort and a hard goat's milk) to finish your meal in true elegant style.

Nice & Cosy
A little restaurant in East Perth with a lovely waitress. The menu is simple but authentic. The wine selection is great for the size of the venue. Very charming.
