Make a connection with the chocolaty confections at this one-of-a-kind European/French cafe and patisserie in Kingsgrove. The brainchild of confectioner and chef Dylan Roden, Blackamoor Confections builds upon Roden's extensive experience working for chocolatiers across Europe, as well as working locally for the Sydney Regent Hotel, Darrell Lea Chocolates and her own business, Colefax Roden Confectionary.
Now, Blackamoor Confections heralds the beginning of a new era for Roden, establishing a trendy Parisian cafe and shop housing chocolates, cakes, coffees and teas that stimulate the senses. Everything is freshly made, from delicate chocolates such as the Angel's Breast, featuring white chocolate cream with blue gum, honey, almond, mauve chocolate and lavender perfume, to sumptuous cakes like the Napoleon, with Genoise puff pastry, jam, butter cream and chevroned fondant. Diners can indulge in such delights within the classically adorned dining room with pink curtains, chandeliers and wooden tables, or in the rosy courtyard and outside lounge room.
