The Cricketers Arms should need no introduction (if it does and you are reading this with a blank, "cricketers wha...?" look on your face, crawl straight back under that rock, please). Now everybody's favourite Surry Hills pub has a new offering, and its name is Bistro Morelli. Opening under its new guise in mid-2011, Morelli offers pub classics with some very cool, modern twists in a ridiculously low price range. There's macaroni and cheese, schnitzels, and plenty more of the usual suspects, but the difference is in the details. For example, do you know why that bread is so good? Because it's Iggy's. Bistro Morelli knows that you notice such things, connoisseur that you are. Leaving the pretension out, keeping the quality in and staying true to what makes a good pub great is what it's all about here.
