Located within The Tap Inn - a golf-themed pub, complete with putting green and golf simulator - one would expect Birdies (the name says it all) to be packed full of golfing paraphernalia and pun-heavy references. However, bucking the golfing trend, Birdies' theme is, well, birds. The central feature is a massive glassed aviary, while the winged creatures also feature in several artworks and knick-knacks. The avian influence also makes its way into the menu with tapas dishes given names such as 'ducktails' (duck cocktail sausages) and 'Wild Turkey turkey' (turkey on flatbread with bourbon sauce). The enormous menu features plenty of these smaller tapas plates, while the mains are designed to be either consumed individually or shared as large tapas.

This a fantastic, unique restaraunt. The tapas style of serving all the food is great, and it all tastes fantastic too. Even something as ordinary as beef schnitzel has unique flavour. Great place to go in a group so you get to try a bit of everything.
