Biaggio


This is the kind of place that makes you feel good about yourself just for eating here, despite having done nothing special except really enjoy your meal. Housed in the first six green-star-rated building in NSW, this cafe/wine bar keeps the environmentally-friendly theme going all the way down to the menus, which are recycled from forest floor fibres.

The usual cafe menu is given new life in this place, with the traditional takeaway sandwich turning into a sourdough baguette with tuna, wild rocket, cucumber and basil, and deep-fried calamari rings magically transforming into pan-fried salt and pepper Hawkesbury calamari with lemon cheeks and aioli. The only thing you may feel guilty about is indulging in the pistachio cannoli with mascarpone filling.
