Well on its way to becoming a Noosa institution, expat New Yorker James Berardo's fine diner is chic-yet-casual - just like Noosa itself. Dine in the virgin-white interior and enjoy the live piano as you're spoiled by chef Shaun Morris's modern fare, which regularly uses local produce, from Hervey Bay scallops to Queensland lamb. For the full experience, go for the six-course degustation, or snatch up mains like seared line caught swordfish with saffron-braised octopus, mussels and artichoke salad.

Gourmet Travller 2009 Australian Restaurant Guide - "Berardo's has always set the bar high for its Noosa neighbours. The Mediterranean- and Asian-leaning menu is simpatico with the coastal climate."

Beware
My partner and I were at Noosa for his bday weekend and decided on the night of his bday we would go to Berardo's Restarant. Although the place looks beautiful and the piano player was a nice add, the service was awfully bad. The woman just did not want to serve us, did not help us at all. It took hrs for us to have our food and when we finally got the food it was awful. Will never go to this awful place ever again.

Top place with a price to match
Great night for something special. Beautiful room where the staff seem to float around rather than walk fast like so many other restaurants. A lovely feel but expensive!

Definitely worth the visit
Berardo's lived up to its reputation as a great restaurant - wonderful food, lovely design and atmosphere and attentive and knowledgable service.
The menu was great, the hardest decision being between the degustation and the a la carte. We selected the menu, on the basis that we would return for the degustation (which we sadly didn't do - but another time).
Food well executed, interesting, cleverly done but not too tricked up. Good things come in threes at Berardo's and the tasting plate (entree) was a wonderful selection as was the trio of quail (main) with the pithivier being the highlight of this.
The wine list is extensive, but also expensive. There are, however, some true gems from less common places which are worth searching out - the Lebanon and Argentina notably offering great quality for a reasonable price.
Highly recommended, not cheap, but a truly excellent restaurant experience.

A 1st Class Restaurant
This is a 1st class restaurant, the menu is modern and includes a degustation. (The menu changes monthly.) It was a bust Saturday night and our waitress was very average at first. However, she quickly improved and was just spot on - attentive and friendly with an excellent knowledge of the menu. We started with a superb French farmhouse bread, then shared a Taste of Berardo's plate that gave us a wonderful combination of flavours. Our mains - roasted beef tenderloin and Rannoch Farm quail creppinettes - both sensational. We managed to fit in one desert, a lemon creme brulee with stewed rhubarb and honey madeline. 10 out of 10 to the kitchen. The wine list is AAA+ - it is extensive and expensive. We had a brilliant meal here and the live piano music was beautiful and non-intrusive. Will definitely visit again.
