With live music three nights a week, oysters, cocktails and jazz on Thursday evenings and a super-cool vodka bar at the back complete with funky skylight, Benny's really puts the buzz into Freo's Cappuccino Strip. The extensive streetside alfresco area is perfectly positioned for a spot of people-watching while partaking in a little breakfast, lunch or dinner - though there are also comfy banquettes in the urban-style lounge bar. Benny's Portuguese, Italian, French and Australian chefs deliver traditional Italian fare, cafe-style dishes and contemporary fusion cuisine including their famous parmigianas and penne alla vodka. If, after that, you're feeling a little saucy, saunter down to the rear bar area and take your pick from 65 varieties of premium vodkas and 30 imported and Australian beers. Sampling them all in one sitting is not advised - Benny's is an experience you'll want to remember and repeat. Furthermore, it pays to keep your eyes peeled for special events. Benny's has been known to host wine, cocktail and, of course, vodka tastings, as well as movie premiere parties and promotions nights.
