There's nothing quite like a balmy night spent at a restaurant with water views. And when that water happens to be the stunning Coral Sea and you can view it from a deck chair while sipping a glass of exquisite boutique wine as you wait for the food to arrive, you know it's going to be a good meal. Bella Baci has taken full advantage of its spectacular location and has matched the aesthetics outside with a superb interior. Crisp white linens, silver cutlery, candlelight - oh the romance! There's a focus on pasta and locally caught seafood at this chic Italian hotspot, and you can expect warm hospitality and delicious home-cooked dishes just like mama made them.

Wow - an amazing dining expirience
My family and I dined at Bella Baci and was just blown away by the fresh foods presented and prompt service.
This restaurant truly caters for all and has an amazing seafood menu as well as your pastas and meat.
For starters we all shared a Mediterranean salad and a brochette which was toasted and prepared superbly. I m no critic but it was refreshing to taste something so fresh.
next was our mains, I decided to go with the renounced Zuppa Di Mare and I was impressed, it tasted perfect - straight out of the sea and presented with care. I can see why it s such a favourite. In terms of desert the Coconut Pannacotta was incredible; the biscuit was served with lime syrup and strawberries creating that amazing bitter sweet effect.
It was an absolute pleasure to dine at Bella Baci and next time I m in palm cove that will be the first place I eat.
As for the location - right across from the water overlooking the water and the moon that looked the size of Jupiter!! It was an amazing experience
I can t wait to go back!

PS: service was A class - no issues and were extremely friendly.

Bella Baci - give me decent food not a "pretty kiss"
Garlic bread in any self-respecting restaurant should be either free - or consist of a loaf. I am very much unimpressed that a single slice of garlic bread 6cmx10cm, cut in half - cost $5.00.

Oysters kilpatrick - badly shucked, pieces of oyster shell mixed with the bacon; sauce overpowered the oysters.

Duck: 2 legs ($34). This is one of the cardinal sins of food presentation. If serving duck - serve half a duck or leg and breast. No orange glaze seen in the vicinity of the plate, as stated on the menu. Vegetables accompanying duck: 3 tiny brocoli florettes (size of 10cent piece); 2 snow pea pods, one snap pea pod, 3 beans, 2 tiny florettes of cauliflower, the same size as broccoli. 4 very small pieces of roast potato were cooked well.

The "special reef and beef" ($42) was definitely not special, in fact it was dreadful. The "rib eye" was not, the meat was chewy and sinewy, the king prawns on top (3) were the smallest foetal king prawns kknown to the sea. Accompanying vegetables were similar to those with duck.

The chef's special dessert ($14.50) was a joke. It was supposed to be a sticky raisin pudding; it actually was a piece of dry raisin cake 3cmx7cmx6cm accompanied by maple syrup, chocolate sauce decoration, cream and ice cream.

Service was cheerful; wine list was good; however we will not recommend this restaurant or return to it again as the food was well below standard.
