This rustic red restaurant feels like a souk without the crush of vendors. Go for the range of genuine Middle Eastern dishes like molokia (an unusual viscous herb and chicken dish) and basbousa (yogurt, semolina and lemon syrup cake with ushta cream).

Bedouin Blues
Oh dear where do I start.. The key elements of Middle Eastern food, in my mind, are flavours and spices; both where tragic exclusions from last night's dining experience. When the lamb signature dish (highly recommended by the waiting staff)is presented as a block of hard rice with a sub-layer of mushed lamb and absolutely no taste whatsoever, one starts to question why they are exchanging their hard earned for such fare. We shared our disappointment with the waitress who quickly quizzed other diners in our vicinity all of who voiced their very similar opinion. "Chef must be having an off night" she declared. Too right!

Been there once, going back again
Having eaten my way around St Kilda many times over I was thrilled to find this very popular little gem. The host is so friendly and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is pefect if you want a fun vibe around you, but not so loud that you can't hear what the person next to you is saying. Great for small get-togethers, or family dos. The food is super-tasty without been too rich, it's bound to make your tummy rumble (in a good way).

Good, but needs more
We were a bit disappointed with the size of the portions considering the cost of the meal. All in all the food was tasty, but we probably won't go back. The atmosphere was good though and the belly dancer was excellent.
