"Elegance" and "opulence" are the first words that come to mind when you think of Beau Monde. Located in the grand Beau Monde International boutique hotel, this fine restaurant exudes all of the charms of an old-fashioned classic dining room, from its crisp white tablecloths to its luminous chandeliers.
Thankfully, the menu isn't trapped in the past, but rather reflects an innovative modern Australian sensibility under the helm of experienced chef Tom Milligan. The dinner menu may include such delicacies as carpaccio of beef sirloin with juniper and black pepper, artichoke and cherry tomatoes barigoule, shaved parmesan and virgin olive oil; grilled 350g dry-aged rib eye with gratin potatoes, grilled field mushrooms and red wine jus; and chocolate marquise with pistachio anglaise. Every third Sunday of the month, Beau Monde hosts high teas that deliver a decadent afternoon delight.
