Overlooking the Shipwright and Kogarah bays, this fine-dining establishment is a sumptuous feast, both culinary and visual. Bayblu is best known for its seafood platter for two, featuring an enticing selection of cold and hot seafood, but lovers of aesthetically spectacular food can't go past the whole snapper, oven roasted with olive oil and seasonal herbs. Rain or shine, the best seats in the house are on the enclosed veranda overlooking the water, but you need to book ahead to guarantee a spot.

A really poor experience
It's not often we have a restaurant experience that goes horribly wrong from start to finish but Babyblu managed to achieve all this and more. From our inability to park anywhere near the restaurant, fingerprints on an entree plate, two ordinary entrees and tough as teak duck (mains), discretion was the better part of valour and we left before dessert. Babyblu looks like it has the shire family function business sewn up but as a restauarant in its own right leaves a fair amount to be desired.
