His Majesty's intermission bar has been renovated to create a spacious and elegant dining room. In keeping with the grandeur of the Victorian-era theatre there are heavy red drapes, bentwood chairs and black and white photos of past productions on the walls. The antique carved jarrah bar extends down one side, and serves premium wines from across WA.

Dinner was great
I just recently ate at Barre Lounge Cafe last night, before going to the show. The food was fantastic, the plates were lovely and hot, the food was hot and very very tasty. I had the Salmon, it was cooked perfectly! And the yummy salad underneath was nice and light and had great flavour.I found the prices very good only 28 for the fish. Not sure what the guy above was talkng about. I reckon you should give it another chance!!!! Im definitely going back!

A great night out
Barre offers a fantastic pre-show dinner service on show nights.
Upon walking into the resturant the atmosphere and decor are electric, perfect to set the stage for a yummy meal before a show.
The service is excellent, with staff who are prompt and attentive, ensuring your wine glass is always topped up.
The menu selection is small, however the choice of food is scrumptious. The meals were prompt, with large serves and were absolutely delicious. The ingedients used were of a fine quality and extremely fresh.
Overall we were extremly impressed and surprised with our experience. What a great start to a great night out at the theatre!

A pleasant surprise
I had a fabulous lunch at Barre on Wednesday. The decore of the place is lovely - funky but elegant. The service was good, even when it is a little hard to judge with counter service - the staff were friendly, meals and beverages came out promptly and we cleared quickly. And the food was sensational, with value for money (huge portions) and well presented. Love the basket for fries!

Food mediocre
I ate at Barre last night prior to attending the ballet. The food was very average. Had fish of the day served with green beans, capsicum and rice. The fish was really dry and the vegetables seemed to me as if they were out of a frozen packet. For $25-$30 a main I think this is unacceptable.
Although the atmosphere and service were great, the food really lets this place down. I wouldn't eat there again - there are many great restaurants near by if you are going to His Majesty's.
