An off-shoot from the popular La Renaissance Cafe Patisserie in The Rocks, Baroque Bistro Patisserie is another appetising venture from the Charkos family. Serving traditional and modern French cuisine in the bistro from breakfast till late, this modern venue also houses French patisserie delights to make you go "oh la la!"

a gourmet haven in the Rocks
The Rocks may have planty of choice for food establishments, but Baroque stands out for me, as being a true slice of France and not being so snobby as to be out of reach for a normal cost of a night out. This rings true to the purpose of the traditional concept of the word 'bistro'. The staff, menu and setting come as a complimenting set of polished and refined treats. If you haven't been, you need to try this great little place tucked away from the hustle.

such a beautiful French touch
I loved the place from top to tail. I would normally have given it a full complement of 10/10 ratings, but my wife said that two very minor things were not perfect in her eyes. She prefers more modern designs to interiors instead or the wonderful eclectic feel that Baroque provides. And the food was fabulous, but did leave the smallest room for improvement. I would not hesitate one second to return here though. I found items on the menu that I'd been hoping to experience for years and was treated to such a skilled and great tasting preparation of them - brilliant! Desserts are the weakness if my wife and I; and all night we were eying off the pastry section of the kitchen and trying to choose what to indulge in. My choice of 'the pompadour was one of the most delicious sweets I ve ever had and so delicately constructed. Baroque should be a destination for all serious food lovers looking for something with a bit of a twist.

Just Like France
Its only been open a few weeks and we have been there three times. Fabulous food, great price and best location in The Rocks with views of the Opera House. This is my new favourite place. Great just for desserts and coffee or a party.
