Do we have to pay this much?!?
This was one of the most disappointing dining experiences in our recent memory. The food and wine were both severely overpriced. The kitchen appeared to be unable to decide if my tartlet entree was supposed to be hot or cold. I had chicken for the main course which was overcooked and dry. I passed my comments on to the waiter, which I presumed would be passed on to the chef, but there was no apology or reparation. Disappointing. My husband's meat on the other hand was undercooked. We will never dine at this restaurant again.

Romantic, heritage restaurant in Parramatta
I went here for our seven-year anniversary and was not disappointed. We were seated on the porch over looking the river, which was pleasant. Service was very professional but the wait for the food I have to admit was a bit long, but we didn t mind.
We ordered the seafood platter for two. It should be called the seafood platter for four - huge servings. The calamari & octopus salad was divine, chilled prawns were nice, though the mussels could be better.
Overall my partner and I had a very romantic dinner, was very impressed. Love the heritage interior decor. Definitely will go again!

Yet Another
Me and friend went for a casual dinner, we were greeted my a friendly waiter who offered us outside seating, but to our horror the manager says there are no more tables left outside (just after our entree a couple walk in and suddenly there are 2 tables for two - mind you no one has left at this stage).

I order the Fettuccini for entree, Kangaroo for main and Pannacotta for dessert from the new Spring Menu. The fettuccini comes with a liberal squeeze of lemon, never have I come across such an atrocity.

The Kangaroo was cooked superbly and went well with the Apricot Chutney, but the "Potato Cake" a.k.a Rosti was a disaster. It lacked flavour was burnt and was slightly undercooked.

I hoped dessert would be a better affair, the Pannacotta was beautiful, the texture spot on and the almond bred was excellent. The rhubarb on the other hand was not cooked through and evidently not peeled of the harsh outer skin.

Over all the food was a let down, the only thing that worked was the front of house.
