Menu options include crab and prawn risotto with luscious chunks of blue swimmer crab and richer fare such as a dish of veal medallions in a white wine, mushroom, parmesan cheese and spinach sauce. A LITTLE SECRET !
Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and were given no objection to picking our own table of 2. The atmosphere is really quite stunning and very relaxing. Service was excellent with outr Gin and tonics delivered in quick time.What surprised and delighted us was the offer to decanter our BYO red, something I have not seen before, and I liked it. Our waiter was very helpfull and the suggestion of a simple starter, was really tasty. We asked to hold off on the main course as we wanted to savour the ambience of the place. The mains arrived as requested and both were top notch, with the plates hot and plenty on the plate, so we would not leave hungry. The place seemed to fill as the evening progressed and I would say, well deserved. We finised with a light desert and coffee, both quite adequate. I am from Adelaide and my friend was from Sydney and we both agreed that we would become regulars.. Tucked away, larger inside than first appears and for us quite a find - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***** 5 Stars

Just Alright...
I was really looking forward to dining at Barendoe as I looove Italian food more than anything. However, the food was just okay. It was definitely not something I will remember.
I had a pasta dish and the people I was dining with had risotto and pizza. No one had any remarkable things to say about their food.
The wait staff were pleasant, however we all got the feeling that Barendoe was sort of like a 'regulars restaurant'. The customers that go there all the time get the best service and the best food.
Overall, it was nice but not outstanding.
