The long-awaited reincarnation of the old Wall has been a long time coming. Luckily this new cafe-cum-restaurant certainly lives up to its hype and more.
Bar H is the pet project of Hamish Ingham, who was all but part of the furniture at Surry Hills stalwart Billy Kwong, but his latest venture is a far cry from regional Chinese cuisine. Cafe classics reign supreme here by morning before contemporary and innovative cuisine transitions this eclectic little space into the later hours of the day and night. Expect to see Black Star pastries and Sonoma sandwiches in the am and a menu of starter plates, charcuterie and dishes crafted with subtlety in the pm. To top it all off is a wine list that flits comfortably between old and new world drops.
