Waiters coping admirably
Stanley Street is a cheap Italian seekers delight and two friends and I headed into Bar Comida for a post-concert dinner. Our 8.20pm arrival saw the restaurant busy but not bursting. Most of the first sitting left not long after our arrival.
The friendly waiter made us comfortable and took our orders. This is when things went pear shaped. We should have noted the absence of food on other tables. What followed was a wait of 45 minutes until our entree of bread arrived, after we questioned where it was. The mains (two pastas and a pizza) took the grand total of 1 1/2 hours to get to the table.
I must say the wait staff were extremely pleasant. They are being let down by a woefully inadequate kitchen. Oh, the sting in the tail. A modestly priced $17 pasta with bacon and chilli was economically sized. I mean tiny. What a shame, I really felt this restaurant was going to be my new Italian in the area.

Not for a Group Booking
I recently dined at this restaurant with a group of 14 for a girl's night out.
The meal stated off ok as we decided to order a variety of salads and breads to share, these were great but unfortunately it was downhill from here.
Our main meals were brought out at all different times, which meant some of us were finishing when others were just starting. Several meals were served cold and two of the meals were incorrect - it took them at least 40 minutes to rectify this!
