A cute little place on bustling Spence Street in the heart of Cairns, Bang looks and feels like a playful, unpretentious sort of place, with its graffiti-style murals and polished concrete floors and bentwood chairs - but while it doesn't take itself too seriously, the coffee is taken extremely seriously here. Bang was opened in 2008 with the aim of becoming the most respected provider of specialty coffee in Australia, and with a drop like this, it looks well on its way. The meals are light and fresh, and the perfect accompaniment to the best cup of the dark stuff you're likely to have in Queensland.
