The secret behind a thriving tourist village is a successful little restaurant - and Tasmania's Swansea is very popular of late thanks to the emergence of Banc Restaurant. Here they have a pretty garden area for light and summery alfresco dining, while also providing a more formal dining room (The Vault) for private, candlelit dinners. Offering interesting modern Australian cuisine as well as a warm and welcoming atmosphere, Banc is capturing the hearts - and more appropriately, stomachs - of locals and tourists alike.
