DIsappointed
For people wanting to eat at Babanusa, I recommend re-confirming your booking! I had a made a booking for 6 people for a Saturday night, but when we got there they said they didn't have the booking. They were not apologetic at all, and didn't even try to accommodate us, so we had to find another restaurant. I have been there a few times before a few years ago and really liked the food so I was very disappointed. Good customer service is just as important as great food, and there are plenty of restaurants in Adelaide that have both, so I won't be going back.

Just ok
I dined here last year with friends and enjoyed the experience as the place provided a cosy atmosphere with homecook style of cooking. I thought I'll treat my mom for Mother's Day here. Nothing much has changed really but the service has gone down a bit as there was only one waitress. The menu has weird sounding African names and you need to be adventurous to try any of them as you'll never know what you're going to get. I must say that the food isn't bad tasting but rather filling that your stomach feels so heavy afterwards. The native drinks like Tamarindi is an acquired taste, although IMO not worth the price they're charging for it.
The manager/cook was did not accept Entertainment vouchers and offered no explanation why this was so.
This restaurant has potential, but perhaps they'll seriously learn some good customer service skills and improve their ambience or risk losing customers.

Just... Wow!
SERIOUSLY good food. Not particularly big portions, but we went there with a small crowd and every single one of us was superbly impressed with the quality of the food. Sure the service isn't professional - the entire place is seriously relaxed - but I've got a new favourite restaurant based purely on the creativeness and excellent mix of flavours of this restaurant. If you're not sure, trust me, you won't be disappointed by this one!
