Azuma Chifley

Located in the heart of the CBD, Azuma is popular with the business lunch crowd due to its sophisticated Japanese food. The Omakase degustation menu is an excellent way to sample the stunning array of well-crafted morsels and allows the master chef Kimitake Azuma to indulge his formidable talents. Another favourite is the hot pot or shabu shabu, in beef or abalone, and beef sukiyaki. These are traditional Japanese hot pot dishes that are cooked at the table and can also feature vegetables, tofu or the increasingly popular wagyu beef. Sushi lovers can sit at the sushi bar and watch the two chefs create masterpieces that look too good to eat - almost.

Great experience
I went there for a friend's birthday. We were in a private room it was good. The food was pretty good. Sushi was very authentic and duck was good but a little Chinese/French the wagyu was good, tempura was great. The experience was pretty good in general.

Disappointed and Expensive Japanese Food in Sydney!
I was disappointed and will not revisit. The food was good but it was VERY pricey. The portion is tiny and we were not full after having our dinner there. The ambience seems a bit stiff - very business-like for business meeting. There is no soft touch to the deco. I have enjoyed better and more value Japanese food in other suburban restaurants.
