Situated on the Promenade level of the Crown Entertainment Complex, Automatic is a busy little spot with a touch of variety. It's a great place to meet up before a movie or heading inside the casino. Though the Automatic is a very big cafe it's always very busy, and the service is ultra-efficient. Nothing on the menu will surprise but it's all honest fare with options such as rib-eye steak with potato rosti, spaghetti bolognese and woodfired pizzas. Excluding public holidays, Monday night is half price beer and pizza night, so even if you lose on the tables, you will still win here.

Terrible
I ordered an omlet on Sunday morning. That was the worst omlet I ever had.
Overpiced and the quality of food and service- bad!Good location though, but I won't go there any more.
Not value for money!

Don't bother unless you have children
Service was good, food was good, atmosphere was too noisy and it was like eating in a Coles cafeteria. Too expensive for the atmosphere. Don't bother going unless you want a noisy family-style restaurant.

Average
I visited two days after the above reviewer and probably wouldn't recommend it, although we didn't have the pizza. When I arrived, I was ignored. A waitress then greeted me and showed me to my table where I waited for my friend. Our entree, the squid, was delicious, but when we came to order the main, we were again ignored. I had chicken caeser salad as a main and the chicken was totally dry.
