Though it's hidden within unassuming walls, this local pizza joint is a bit of a gem, even brewing its own alcoholic ginger beer. The pizzas are fired over aged redwood and yellowbox timbers, and the gourmet selection retains an approachable feel.

Hot Food
I recently went to APK as I do on regular occasions and as always the food and service was first class all though there was a slight wait for our dinner (because of the many other customers) it was still worth the wait i always find the pizza kitchen a pleasant and friendly environment with a great family atmosphere.

Rip-off
My partner and I ordered from here after reading the reviews which were very outdated. We called up asking if one pizza would feed two with garlic bread also and the person on the phone said that it would since each pizza has 8 large pieces. When we picked up our order, the pizza was smaller than a plate and had six tiny pieces and they wanted to $28 for that and garlic bread.
After complaining about what we were told on the phone, the supervisor blamed it on the trainee but proceeded to do nothing to fix the situation even after I said we wouldn't come back.
Terrible.

Pizza's to die for!
What a shame the other reviewer did not enjoy his visit to APK civic. I on the other hand have been going to this pizza place for the past 2 years and have never had a fault, the pizzas are the freshest and healthiest I have had for a long time [and I am an expert on pizzas or so I would like to think]. The waitstaff are usually pretty good unless of course under pressure ie if dirty dishes are stacked up everywhere this suggests to me the place was busy. My fav waitress will be disappointed in the review previously posted she never lets anyone leave unhappy maybe she was absent. Overall I rate APK and yeah we all have bad days. Check it out for yourself. I promise great food but awesome pizzas!

Not a fun night.
The Australian Pizza Kitchen in Civic used to terrific - with dishes such as garlic prawn pizza with mango salsa. But the past few times I have been there, especially a week ago, made me never want to go there again! They had none of their fantastic ginger beer or mushrooms and they ran out of pizza dough. It took ages for anyone to serve us, even when we asked them to. Dishes were left on our table for 30 minutes after we had finished until we had to put them on the surrounding dirty tables. Dirty dishes were stacked up in piles outside the kitchen. The staff were rude and the pizzas had barely any topping, one patron wouldn't even eat his. This wasn't even a busy night, for a Saturday, and is it any wonder why?? I hear Woden APK is still far better!
